JanSport weired Marketing

A weired experience:


I was out for buying a bag pack then i decided the best place 2 go would be SPENCER PLAZA. So headed for it in the morning hours and found that lots of shops were yet 2 open, But the main target was LANDMARK and thats the destination for almost anything.

SCENE:

I went to the store and started looking for the magazines( business today ) as it was titled "the best b-school survey", then after that i headed for the bag section downstairs. There the shop keeper showed me all the JANSPORT bags ranging from Rs1500 to Rs6000. Looking at those bags i had 2 extend my budget from Rs1500 to Rs2000.

I choose one bag which was special in the following ways:
  1. its brand is JanSport;-)
  2. its having a "sweat soaking technological belt". Hope thats for real.
  3. its having a very formal look, so i can have its usage in my OFFICE which i am heading 2.
  4. its having a 30 years warranty(WOHAO!!!!!!), that 2 international.

All the points are obvious enough and readily acceptable but what about the last point?does that seem logical in any ways???

MARKETING STRATEGY is so pissing me off:

i just cant believe; what does this company think of itself, thats just bcoz something like this is next to impossible for us ( the customers ) to believe, they have come up with such an idea. What i inferred from it that: STICK TO THIS BRAND FOR 30 YEARS and also NO NEED TO REPLACE THIS BAG FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS.

We aint some fools 2 accept this, i have posted this thread just 2 tell that i haven't got fooled by them, its just that i was in need of a bag and this was the best bag to my sight which i bought.
