I PUBLISH, THEREFORE I AM

All over Facebook you can see superstars, millionaires and movie-gods eating in a normal restaurant, walking on the street with normal people, or standing in the queue to get something done; these photos are meant to inspire you, they speak for a celebrities' down to earth characteristics....crap, total crap!...you know why? because celebrities eat on the streets or stand in a queue as it is what they like doing and sometimes it is just the right thing to do. There is nothing inspiring about it. Just think! a person having lots of money and doing normal things is what is inspiring you...I mean, why should someone inspire you because they are not capitalizing on what they have...it is just something good-to-hear and not something inspiring. That's all I am saying. PS : By the way, not having to capitalize on what you have is very alarming, especially, for guys in business. You see, it isn't inspiring, it is alarming for a lot of us.

Brother/boyfriend/husband hate shopping. Period.  Also, guys don't know anything about clothes, don't you see their dressing-sense, they mostly suck big time!  If you (girls) wanna buy clothes, you need someone who judges you by your clothes and can tell you what sucks and what doesn't;  I am sure your husband doesn't judge you by your clothes (getting sentimental) . You get the drift, don't you?...the guys you go out to shopping with are just useless. Also, spare them the weekend, they have better...wait...far far better things to do...like watch TV, sleep, eat-drink, watch TV, sleep some more :-D.  My point is, I understand that going with guys is something you like, but guys don't really give you a good feedback (not that you need, but still). You (girls) gotta go to shopping with someone who dresses as good as you or better than you, he/she can pitch in and help you find amazing clothes. That's the whole point, isn't it...finding good clothes! PS...

Lets say, your parents have millions of dollars and you need a few thousands to progress in life or do some quality work (may be, start a business, or go to an ivy-league to study). What is the solution, who do you think you'll go to? Your parents right! Now if you introduce another clause that you are 30 years old and that you were earning for the past 8-9 years, and for some reasons you still need a few thousands. Now what? would you still ask your parents for money? the most-of-us hesitate, just coz it makes us feel like we are depending on our parents . If you are one amongst the most-of-us, you are outrageous. For god's sake, drop that freaking mentality. You were dependent on your parents till 20 and there is nothing wrong if you find them dependable even by the time you are 50 . If you feel strongly about being on debt; before taking the money, make sure you decide on repaying it to your parents ASAP. PS : Remember, most of the successful business owners started t...

You have problems remembering a few things, like drinking water, deadlines, names, or maybe you want to tell yourself every once in a while “Come on you can do it” :-D…you know what, your password can help you with that. Just think of where all and how many times you enter your login id and password, you do it around 20-30 times a day for sure, just count the number of times you get out and get in your desk …around 20 times right! And every time you have to enter your password to login. I was just getting fed of this password thingy but then I realized that it can be a wonderful reminder tool…seriously, if you bombard a same line 20 times a day, it makes a hellofa difference . My previous passwords were: ‘Drinkmorewater’, ‘gymat5’,’december3’,’bartsimpson’,’justletgo’,’chillax’ etc…so, don’t keep a lousy password, good luck.

With so much to consume on the internet, the users don't care about repetitive actions. That is, even if you repeat the top 100 news feeds as if it were your stories...most of the times, people won't be able to make out if you were the origin of that story...also, people don't have time to figure these things out. The copying business is just too good to resist, I definitely see that copying is a skill of the future leaders . If there is a breaking news on NDTV, and I get to know from them about it...and then I report the same news with my views (on my channel), then that very much becomes a breaking news in my channel. It no longer matters who reports first, especially on the internet where news echoes all the time. (#Journalism)

Just that I've read and seen a lot of Steve jobs these days, I want to make a remark about what he said in the commencement speech, "if today were the last day of my life, will I do what I am going to do?"...the answer to this will definitely help you set your priorities and make better decisions. Now, getting the answer to that question is not a big deal...but make sure you don't take drastic decisions, it is not something that can be done overnight . Lets say, you asked yourself that question (for a few weeks) and you got the answer " XYZ, but not the day job "...can you really afford to do that? :).  A lot of my friends just don't like their jobs, and they don't do anything about it...it is not because they can't get another job, it is just because they don't know the answer to "if not this, what else". I've switched roles early in my career, I am sure that there will be two things that will stop you from making a decisio...

I am so damn impressed with the ecosystem of Steve Jobs' creations that I think If I were doing my schooling with an iPad having already been invented, I would known what it is like to actually UNDERSTAND the concepts in the textbooks.  I personally think, the textbooks should be prepared keeping in mind the weakest student of a class . Complexity in the textbooks is what makes it uncool. In my times, people stressed a lot on having great teachers...In the coming era, people will stress on better apps for learning (Remember! Steve Jobs gave us an app ecosystem). When we can have  e-learning for software products  for experienced adults to understand concepts...I don't see a reason why we can't have  e-learning for kids  doing Laplace transformations and balancing equations with scary benzene rings. I believe, if your kid doesn't do good in exams, either it is because the textbooks are just way sophisticated for him or because...

A friend (a few months back) said that people in STC ( Society For Technical Communications ) always discuss this one topic every year, " Is Technical Writing dying ". I also heard the same thing about a lot of other professions/roles, but the fact that something is dying doesn't mean the kind of people who work in that field are going no where...it just means that it's time they evolved drastically...you see, creative fields (journalism then) have always had this death path. But I personally think, technical writing is here to stay, even if you do or don't read the online help or the user manuals. But, I definitely feel that technical writing the way it is, is definitely going to die in a few years (or else, I'll kill it) and evolve into something really good. We (Tech writers) need a mind-shift, the following is the change I think we need: We write for an audience , but not a lot of us know who the *Exact* audience is. We write for a product, but a l...
