A chain on top of the cubicle

I believe in the LEAN methodology, Toyota follows the same methodology in the company. In Toyota, if a guy faces a problem, he has a chain - to pull - right above his work-area...when he pulls the chain, his manager sprints to him (literally, his manager runs to him) and tries to solve the problem in 60-90 seconds. If he can't figure the problem in that time, the whole supply line stops. Although, this sounds crazy, but Toyota doesn't want to take anything forward with a quality glitch.

After this, I definitely think that we all need an expert at workplace who can solve our problems in 90 seconds (like the guy in Toyota). This is why, a seasoned resource of your team needs to understand that he needs to mentor/help his colleagues for around 30% of his time, and work only for the rest 70% of his time. Also, nobody likes to email a problem, unless that's the only option.

How convenient it would be for a rookie (in a team) if he is provided with a chain on top of his cubicle, and when he pulls the chain, his lead/manager sprint towards him to help him out. Don't laugh :-D.

TV Channels ;-(

ohh these bloody TV channels are so damn getting into my nerves that its content has made me to write an article on my blog। There is absolutely no dilution of the channel content for weeks 2 go, I have been watching TV just coz I have all the time in this world till I get my joining date ;-) but again there is nothing left for me 2 watch as they broadcast the same thing again and again. WHATS THERE 2 CHANGE MUSIC- plz stop darde disco, ankhon mei teri, mauja mauja & move your body baby etc etc, Put some tracks which may date back 2 the 70s but not these again and again. If not the old list, start with some new movie albums and some tracks from strings or junoon which are nowhere 2 be seen. TV shows- start new seasons of the shows like friends, sienfeld or the OC, the desperate housewives or else change the show itself but plz dont torture with the same season again and again. Wipro- Reporting day

Better late than never...a perfect beginning for my blog post. It's time to write about my unexpected event which certainly did come to reality today. I used to search google for a post like this in my final year/post placements/post engineering but I never found anything informative & straight to the point with regards to the reporting day ( not trying to boast, really!! )...So, I've put in a little effort to give you the exact picture of whats what on the reporting day!! Wipro Technologies did is for us, it was our reporting day today (27th April 2009). Our training starts on May 4th 2009 (one more week to go). Let me just rewind & play the whole day. The candidate you want to hire

If you are hiring, the best fit for you would be someone who can fit right-in without any kind of training. There are a lot of guys like that out in the market, but the challenge is that you need to find them, that explains why monster.com and naukri.com is such a big hit.
