Which discussion should you be a part of

Frankly, there are a lot of discussions going on at workplace, at home, and even online. The question is - which discussion should you be a part of, coz almost always it's possible for you to dodge some discussions. By the by, discussions are always good, even if a couple of fools are discussing stuff, you get to learn how stupidity works ;-), and if some geniuses are discussing stuff, you learn that there are plenty of angles to one small topic. Now, which discussion should you be a part of, as in, which discussions really help you? The discussions that unearths a bigger picture and lets you build your own hypothesis is THE discussion you are looking for.

Yes! The discussion that leads to you to make your own hypothesis through the facts being produced in the discussion is the best discussion you could ask for. The point is, you don't judge a discussion by what's being discussed (at least , not always), instead, you judge it by the kind of vibe that is created around the people who are discussing it. But yeah! The Thumb rule is - you need to make sure you are interested in that topic. For instance, I am guy who is interested in publishing and writing. I am interested when people  discuss how we ship documents, how we produce a magazine, how publishing houses work, how to write better, why to improve our grammar…but when there is discussion that is about which office to work for, how to write more or how to balance life and work, how did an author write that book, how did he make so much money…I feel, it's all a matter of inspiration and short-lived motivation, these discussions don't serve any purpose. I know, it feels great to talk about Bill Gates and Mark Zukerberg, but it's really a waste of time when done every once in a while.

At one point of time there was so much inspiration around me that I never got time to do actual work, I was too busy getting inspired ;-). So, I started dodging discussions that don't deal with real work. It's never too late, start dodging discussions from tomorrow J.
