VISION Interview
Vision is the son of COBRA corporation so technically it was COBRA Interview.
So finally I got my hands on one good offer after immense hunting, but one thing is that I need to get accustomed to the company policies & its working environment. Most probably I’m gonna take this job as it’s pretty inviting & it has pretty high hopes for my speedy growth (but still not 100% sure).
Morning- I go for an interview to a place in Hyderguda & get to the building where the interviews are conducted. Then I fill one questionnaire (Q1) which was kinda surprising, the range of questions it had were -Management qualities, where have you been a leader, write on self-motivation (50 words) & other such stuff which were not at all expected. Then my name is called for an interview
Interviewee- P1
P1- Hello Girish! How are you?
Me- M fine! How about you sir!
P1- Fine! So tell me about your self?
Me- blah blah…Goes for 1 minute & then ends with “this profile suites me”…;-)
P1- good! Starts explaining about the company work
Me- ohh ohh ohh... (I was so damn blank)
P1- oh k girish! Can you just sell me this pen?? (Hands over his pen 2 me)
Me- I start with…The pen is……. (Interruption)
P1- I give you 30 seconds- thinks & sell it to me
Me- I take some 10 seconds, Sir I am ready!
Me- This pen has lotsa qualities…Good ball point pen, then it has a rich look to it…sir you would wanna try it & I am sure this pen wont disappoint you & you would possibly wanna buy it later on!
P1- good good...see Girish I can’t recruit you with 10 minutes of interaction. If you’re short listed, you will get a call for tomorrow’s rounds. Good luck.
Me- thank you very much. Bye
I come home & finally @ 5:00pm I get a call from PAYAL (receptionist) about my shortlist & an invite to attend other rounds tomorrow @ 8:30am.
Today morning, I head on directly to the venue for my further rounds. She hands me another questionnaire(Q2), which was so so so so so so so damn easy- it had questions from math (basic calculations, basic verbal & basic GK (BTW who’s the vice president of India??...;-(). Then I had to wait for some 30 minutes & again there is a round on company profiling (no talking, just listening).

APSRTC corporate BUS STATION (office)
Field work-Took an auto and went to a BUS STATION (not some bus depot) but a corporate office. Then got our entry & then the surprising deal was that we were to approach clients for their funds for CRY (Child Relief & You)…then we move on to 15-20 other people ( I was there with Mr. Saroj (Assistant manager) & my other friend Akshay)..We were quiet stunned with rejections & other awkward looks from the people we approached; it was very new to me. Came out with a lesson on approaching clients (Introduction, Presentation, Short story, close, Re-hash).

Then afterwards we parked @ the office, we were to fill another questionnaire (Q3) which had everything to do with (field work, approach, strength, weakness & other field based questions). Then finally we were called for the last & final interview.
P1: Hi girish! How you?
Me: Hi hello! I m fine
P1- So how was your experience?
Me- truly speaking, it was not totally fun coz at certain points I got direct rejection to my face which was very surprising but overall it was nice sir.
P1: yes yes!! Rejections are a part of this business, you need to understand that
Me: I totally do sir. (duh!!)
P1: Starts explaining about the profile & my growth in the company.
Me: Sir the compensation cannot be raised sir?
P1: see there is no limit to your raise, you can finish your hierarchal assessments & get on with a greater pay.
Me: Oh k sir!! (Still not convinced with what I’d be paid)
P1: so Girish! Tell me about your 2 greatest strengths & weaknesses?
Me: Answers it with a fire…blah blah
P1: oh then, if your selected we would get back to you by the evening. Good luck
Me: it was a great experience, than you sir
Me: bye sir…laughs
PS: tomorrow I got to report @ 8:30am morning. Would be going in my bike
PS: Sachin bagged 12K runs beating Lara’s record
PS: I am happy but at the same time some thing is really wrong about my prospective towards the job.
PS: I love it, I just need more interviews to crack & get better jobs..LOL…cheers
