Dasavatharam (The Movie)
This was one flick which I really wanted 2 watch, Dr. Kamal Hasan (BTW he received his doctorate from our college "Sathyabama"..hah!!) was the only charm 2 this movie (as always). I cant even think of a single scene in the film where in Kamal was not on the screen, He was there from the very start to the end (2 much work!!). My company was JOE for this 10:45am show, he helped me with the Tamil subtitles which were quite essential & even I helped him recall some of the story turnings & conclusion part (mainly ;-)).
MY RATING: 3/5 (2.99 for Kamal & the rest for the director ;-))
THEATER EFFECT: 4/5 (IMAX, Hyderabad...I m just taking away that 1 point coz the toilet was 2 crowded & I had to wait 2 piss ;-D)
MY FAVORITE CHARACTER: The Telugu Police Officer (off course it was Kamal Hasan!!), this character was hilarious and the crowd really seemed 2 enjoy his role. It featured the comedy aspect of the movie, most important character of all...LOL..;-)
MY UNWANTED CHARACTER: Paati (Asin's grandma...Yesssss it was Kamal agian!! ;-))..This character had no requirement in this movie and had no effect on the main theme.
BEST THING: Kamal played all roles with perfection, really he's one of the very few finniest actors in the country. In acting, I would really score him more than Rajni coz kamal does it without any special effect & his scenes seem very very real.
WORST THING: The "Make Up" Part, I have no disappointments over how the make up was done in the movie coz that was brilliant and there were no shortcoming's in it but in all the made up characters were overly done and seemed unreal to the viewers. I dont think this much make up was essential, a light touch up would have been enough (making it 2 real would eventually make it unreal). Make up was really done with perfection which is not required as everyone knows it him...LOL..;-)
MORAL OF THE STORY: Tsunami was for the good and everything happens for a good cause & is preplanned by the almighty (duh!!..its the Karma Theory)..so chill !! coz if that would not have taken place, there would have possibly been something more destructive than that...

The movie was not a DRAG, each n every moment was enjoyable but a few things in the script where really predictable and silly (like interchange of boxes, AB+ match, easily escaping from a crowd etc etc). Its a movie which can be watched again (in a dvd print.;-D..LOL).
PS: Tickets were so damn costly, bloody people paid Rs 200 per ticket. This was the first time I every gave so much for a ticket
PS: Theater was just 70% filled, rest were empty (just coz of a bad timing of the show). We made it just 5mins before the movie timings but then nothing we missed.
PS: At times in the film, I was thinking of the chennai crowd (mainly my friends) coz there were so many scenes which were meant for shouts and whistling, but the crowd over here was damn peaceful.
PS:Had our lunch @ Mc.Donald's which was in the same complex as the theater.
