Srisailam trip
Awesome trip with awesome people ;-). Srisailam is a fun getaway, you gotta see it to believe it...It was our first office trip (that's kinda special).
Morning 1:30am- Sunday- Started from Hyderabad for a long drive to Srisailam. Full of enthusiasm in the beginning, just cracking jokes & having fun in our cab. Caution: it's a big big problem when it comes to the call of nature/loo...;-), do everything at home, drink less water and control till you reach the Srisailam check post or else do what we did (there are a lot of bushes...guys can somehow manage)
1st stop- We saw this beautiful DINDI dam. We did some trekking, and started clicking random snaps, we just wanted to capture each and every moment there.
Second stop- Srisailam check post, thank god! finally a decent toilet. We unloaded all that we could and started off with the TIGER RESERVE Srisailam forest. What an amazing amazing ride; really a beauty, loved the scenery and enjoyed breathing every bit of the pure oxygen.

Third stop- after 30+ kilometers from the check post, we reached the Mallelathirtham waterfalls. We had to walk about 200 steps to find the waterfall. It was too much fun coz the water just seem to pierce through our skin. We could barely open our eyes inside the falls. We were bathing, shouting, and playing for around 1 hour with our snaps taken in different positions/angles.
Whats fun exactly?
- 540Km drive
- The Dindi Dam
- The grasslands which gives you a clear sunrise & sunset view
- The forest- Srisailam Tiger Reserve
- The village ambiance- the huts, cattle and the plantation
- The Mallelathirtham waterfall
- Krishna river- plate boat ride
- Srisailam Temple
- The Rope way & Boating in Krishna river
Our trip was something like this
Morning 1:30am- Sunday- Started from Hyderabad for a long drive to Srisailam.

Fourth stop- after the tiring 200 step trekking, we headed to the Srisailam Temple. It was very very crowded (coz UGADI is coming up). It's not good to say but, my experience was really bad; the temple was really good and the place had a good ambiance but the people were very indecent and they were crossing/jumping the lines and creating unnecessary chaos. I did not have anytime to think about praying coz it was not at all peaceful (others in my gang liked it, so actually the temple is a must see if your going there).
Fifth stop- We went to a nearby tourist stop i.e ROPE WAY & BOATING in Krishna river. Just look at the snaps & u'd know what the rope way and boating is all about. After that we had veg meals in GANGA Restaurant which was 'ok types'.Sixth stop- Phaladhara Panchdhara, it was a total waste of time and effort. There's really nothing to see here. Then on the way back we had a group snap with the TIGER himself.
