FAIL FASTER- Robin Sharma

A wonderful excerpt from today's Deccan Chronicle issue. I'd give you the gist as its very well said & also because I can totally associate myself with it.

The idea of failure being the price of greatness, it reminded me that too many of us are so afraid of failure that we don’t even try (Seneca once said, “it is not because things are difficult that we do not dare. It is because we do not dare that things are difficult”). Many of us are frightened of looking silly or being embarrassed by failure and as a result, we don’t take the risk and seize an opportunity.

We think failure is bad. It isn’t. It’s good. No, it’s great.

There can be no success without failure. It’s just part of the process. The companies and people who have reached the heights of success are the same ones that have failed the most often. You need to fail to win. And the faster you fail, the more quickly you’ll learn precisely what you need to do to win. So fail fast. Out-fail the competition. Out-fail the person you once were.

Now, I don't say its the first time I've heard such things but its just the way they've put which makes it a class apart. All credits to ROBIN SHARMA. Its actually an excerpt from "THE GREATNESS GUIDE 2". Loved it and enjoyed it...thanks for that, it was really really required coz I've frequently been bombarded with failures in the past few months...Peace out.

TV Channels ;-(

ohh these bloody TV channels are so damn getting into my nerves that its content has made me to write an article on my blog। There is absolutely no dilution of the channel content for weeks 2 go, I have been watching TV just coz I have all the time in this world till I get my joining date ;-) but again there is nothing left for me 2 watch as they broadcast the same thing again and again. WHATS THERE 2 CHANGE MUSIC- plz stop darde disco, ankhon mei teri, mauja mauja & move your body baby etc etc, Put some tracks which may date back 2 the 70s but not these again and again. If not the old list, start with some new movie albums and some tracks from strings or junoon which are nowhere 2 be seen. TV shows- start new seasons of the shows like friends, sienfeld or the OC, the desperate housewives or else change the show itself but plz dont torture with the same season again and again. The only best part of the channels- THE EVER CHANGING ADVERTISING SECTOR WHICH COMES UP WITH EXTREMELY CR...

Wipro- Reporting day

Better late than never...a perfect beginning for my blog post. It's time to write about my unexpected event which certainly did come to reality today. I used to search google for a post like this in my final year/post placements/post engineering but I never found anything informative & straight to the point with regards to the reporting day ( not trying to boast, really!! )...So, I've put in a little effort to give you the exact picture of whats what on the reporting day!! Wipro Technologies did is for us, it was our reporting day today (27th April 2009). Our training starts on May 4th 2009 (one more week to go). Let me just rewind & play the whole day. Reporting at Wipro office , (Guindy) Chennai- reached half an hour before and the process started just as we reached i.e. at 8:00am (bang on time) Talent ready to transform Form filling - have everything calculated to enter in your form i.e. all the 10th,12th & semester wise percentages. The candidate you want to hire

If you are hiring, the best fit for you would be someone who can fit right-in without any kind of training. There are a lot of guys like that out in the market, but the challenge is that you need to find them, that explains why monster.com and naukri.com is such a big hit. So, I’ve been doing some interviewing for quite a long time now, and I believe that some of the good ways for you to find a candidate is to: Target potential companies and not candidates – if you find a company that works exactly like you do, then you get candidates from there who fit right in.
