KPO job offer

OMG i have really really come 2 a conclusion that i do not keep my word and i m not true and faithful to myself. This is not a good or a bad news, its just a composition of both equally.
As in the earlier post i had taken up an oath to myself that i will piss on BPO's; i couldn't stick to that for more than a day. YES i did attend an interview but technically seen i feel i have kept my word as its not a BPO but a KPO (knowledge process outsourcing).

So leaving all issues, let me give a brief on my experience :


12:30pm: i get a call from MR. HONEY regarding my interview in there consultancy i.e MANIFEST CONSULTANCY (ph no:9884350968) for the job opening, he was sounding really friendly so i just wanted to be kind to him and told him that i can make it within an hour. Actually, i was supposed to report on or b4 11:30am.

1:30pm: i reached the place i.e the consultancy and met him and was told to wait, then there was a warm up interview with a lady over there who advised me a bit on what 2 say. It was all arbit; as i really feel that i don't require anything for performing well in the interview atleast the soft skills. Then Mr.Honey himself came and tested us on some lame topics to speak on like introduce yourself, Terrorism, 9/11, latest movie, best moment of life etc.

2:45pm: the interviewee came to the consultancy office and took our interview , there were 5 others with me but 2 opted for the BPO (ALLSEC) and the rest 4 including me were for SlashSupport (i was clueless about what company to visit ), so i said its OK for any company.

3:00pm: the person came and guess what!! i was the only sole selected, i had the same intentions from the start as the others were good but had a low profile on soft skills. Wish them luck with the other jobs(they were really good natured). Then people over there came and congratulated me on getting shortlisted and i was happy and ready to go home. But they said that i have to go to the office and meet a person called Mr.SRIVATSAN with his ph no: 9952964103, went to TTK road and called him regarding the location of the office but couldn't reach him, then i asked some person on the street about this company and i was directed to the same old LIFESTYLE building which i remember as i met paddu there for the first time. There on the third floor was the office (actually starting from 1st till 3rd), went to the receptionist Ms. CHITRA (was really kind to people and some smile were flowing around me for no reasons;-)) then i was asked to go to the ground floor and give my "aptitude test".

Aptitude test(online from a quia.com):

• 1st round- Communication skills- 50 questions in 30 minutes (damn easy- i think i scored 72% by answering just just 60% of the questions i.e. rest 12% my luck, i finished in just 10 minutes just because i had no intentions of scoring in it)
• 2nd round- Technical skills- 60 questions in 40 minutes (damn lame;-)- i couldn't have seen such a lame exercise to do in 40 minutes , so i competed this in about 15 minutes and and i scored just 59% in that(not happy nor sad just pissed with the test))
• 3rd round- Audio round- this was for us to take the earphones and listen and give the output ( i scored some 85% in that, easy and really meant for the job so i liked it)

This went on till 5:00pm , not the test but everything in the company. test was over in approx 25-30 minutes)

5:30pm: they made me wait for another madam Ms. SOFIA who was the final person to take my interview i.e whether i am selected or not was based on her assessment. Went to the her cabin and found her to be really soft spoken ( she told me that she was the senior person apart from the receptionist not knowing her as she was new to the company;-) )

6:00pm: i got my offer letter and guess what!! the joining date was 2-nov i.e. tomorrow ;-), i directly told Mr.PRATAP (HR) about my problem but he made me fight for a while, then he extended it to 9th-nov which is again not possible, i just took the offer for my hard work throughout the day knowing that i wont be joining it.

I have an offer in hand;-)...Mind blowing

PS: offer is gr8, pay is around 15k/ month. Pay is considerably good w.r.t call centers.
PS1: company is good and the pay is good 2 but the BPO/KPO experience doesn't count for MBA universities and i would be laid back with that respect.
PS2: now i have enough confidence that if i m not getting a job anywhere, i have got the mandatory talent to get into BPO/KPO without any preparation. kUdOs....
