3hrs @ the call center

So What!! i attended a BPO opening;-). I m totally pissed with what happed over there. Acutally i dont no what was wrong with me in the morning that i agreed to go for a BPO opening. Its really a painless job but thats not the parameter for working its the learning environment and the MONEY which matters(was that me;-)).

Sticking to my style of writing, let me give the brief:
  1. Morning- got up at around 7:00am with no clear intentions of what to do.
  2. I got an unexpected call from a female "Savitha" from "Plan Man Consultancies" who had tracked my resume from the popular job portal monster.com and ya she gave me her personal number ;-) 9840988584..hehe
  3. This female has been calling me from the past 1 month regarding this job interview and this was her 10th call to me i guess. So recognized her readily and started asking her about the venue for the interview.
  4. I told her that i am totally ready for it and i can attend today itself (call center interview has always seem to be a piece of cake 2 me)
  5. Then she gave me the venue as "Chennai City Center,5th floor", office was SITEL INDIA.
  6. I ate at 1:00pm and headed for the interview so that i can come as early as possible.
  7. I reached there by 1:45pm and filled my form for the interview and sat there for more than 2hrs. FUCKED !!
  8. Then i saw Ms.Ramya in a blue salwar kurta (kinda chubby but young( around her late 20s)!!), she directed all of us to a room and then she started asking about who has applied for VOICE and who has come for NON-VOICE.
  9. She bluntly told all those with NON-VOICE have to leave as she was expecting only the experienced candidates for that job. All got pissed with NON-VOICE selection.;-)..i couldn't have laughed as hard as i wanted so i somehow controlled.
  10. Then she said all of us to speak for 1min and she would asses us based of how we speak.
  11. 1st name was "Girish Mahadevan". WTF
  12. I started like this "i am Girish pursuing my BE in CSE with just the last semester ahead of me"
  13. then she questioned "are u still doing" i.e. u have not completed ur graduation.
  14. Me: yes mam!, just the project work left and rest all have been finished. Ramya: its in the company norms that we do not recruit any undergraduate so i think you should apply after you graduate.
  15. Me(मन ही मन में): balls to BPO after i graduate, i got placed da!! . Me(actually): i myself dint no about the norms as i have been directed by a consultancy
  16. I just got up and left with a smile and a lot of confusion;-)

PS: i have not read "1 night @ the call center", so its not @ all related 2 it. its just my weired experience.
PS1: Ms. Ramya was fat but really got @ speaking as she was an employee @ SITEL, she went 2 eat while i was waiting waiting and waiting.
PS2: Office was oh k and the employees inside dint seem to have the so called LIGHT on their faces, on the side of my seating room was the training room and i heard the madam(trainer) saying Rs.10 fine for those who are late.;-)
Ps3: I would never ever look back at a BPO until i come 2 some economic crisis and i m pushed for some or the other job.
PS4:Bye bye call centers...i piss on ur premise for making me wait for those 2hrs.
PS5: i'd really want to change the title but over here;-), i feel the suitable title for this would be "3 mother fucking hrs @ the call centers"

ohh these bloody TV channels are so damn getting into my nerves that its content has made me to write an article on my blog। There is absolutely no dilution of the channel content for weeks 2 go, I have been watching TV just coz I have all the time in this world till I get my joining date ;-) but again there is nothing left for me 2 watch as they broadcast the same thing again and again. WHATS THERE 2 CHANGE MUSIC- plz stop darde disco, ankhon mei teri, mauja mauja & move your body baby etc etc, Put some tracks which may date back 2 the 70s but not these again and again. If not the old list, start with some new movie albums and some tracks from strings or junoon which are nowhere 2 be seen. TV shows- start new seasons of the shows like friends, sienfeld or the OC, the desperate housewives or else change the show itself but plz dont torture with the same season again and again. The only best part of the channels- THE EVER CHANGING ADVERTISING SECTOR WHICH COMES UP WITH EXTREMELY CR...

Wipro- Reporting day

Better late than never...a perfect beginning for my blog post. It's time to write about my unexpected event which certainly did come to reality today. I used to search google for a post like this in my final year/post placements/post engineering but I never found anything informative & straight to the point with regards to the reporting day ( not trying to boast, really!! )...So, I've put in a little effort to give you the exact picture of whats what on the reporting day!! Wipro Technologies did is for us, it was our reporting day today (27th April 2009). Our training starts on May 4th 2009 (one more week to go). Let me just rewind & play the whole day.
