Try to find out what is the quizzer capable of

If you are going for a test, it makes a lot of sense to ask who is the quizzer.

Why? Because the quiz is not conducted to judge you on how much you know about the subject, the quiz is on what kind of questions can the quizzer come up with and if you can answer those questions alone.

Similarly, it makes a lot of sense to ask who is the interviewer and understand what is he all about. For instance, if you are going for a technical writing interview, I can be sure that that interviewer doesn’t deal with every aspect of technical writing and that you’re doing great in the interview is a lot dependent on how much you know of what the interviewer has done in his career and on understanding what is he capable of asking.

Before it was really difficult to know the interviewer, so, guys read everything in the subject to crack the interview. But now, with web 2.0, things have become so social that you can (almost always) find out about the interviewer and know what is he capable of (at least, a  guesstimate).
