When deciding whether or not to continue being in a relationship

Change is the new constant, how cliché!

Expecting people not to change is a wrong expectation, it is against the law of nature. Just internalize this: who you were 5 years before and who you are right-now. You will see that you have changed quite a bit, if not drastically. Not just the behavior, even the fundamentals and the principles that your once adhered to changed overtime. Our way of life changes and it’s all for the good.

That said; say, you are in a relationship. You most probably got into a relationship with a person who you once liked, and now you see that, overtime, the person has changed quite a lot (and unfortunately, your likings didn’t change accordingly, that is, you still like the previous version of that person). Now what? Now you judge the person and decide if you want to be a in a relationship or not.

Although, not liking the new version of that person is totally appropriate, not thinking about how the person might change furthermore is damaging when deciding whether or not to continue being in a relationship. Again, just remember this, change is constant. That person will change further.

PS: It doesn’t just apply to people, it applies to businesses too.
