Wipro- ERP & CRP
After a one week FRP (fundamental readiness program) training, this ERP (Emergency Response Program) was a good refreshing component of the training process.
ERP at WIPRO TRAINING
Day 1 and 2: First Aid & Life Saving skills - A lot about breathing, oxygen content, Carbon monoxide, Pulse rate, what's dangerous & what's a myth etc. Then, we had a lot of videos on safety techniques (mainly fire fighting) and a practical session of Fire Fighting/extinguishing.

The fire extinguishing session. On the right, we are getting ready for our ball game (me-2nd from right) (ref: throw & catch) (ENLARGE to VIEW)Day 3: Security Issues inside Wipro & all that we needed to know about Wipro C4S rules. They also had a session on Chennai Wipro Campuses & the Admin functions.
Day 4: Talent Transformation induction. It was a big presentation on what Wipro is all about and how everything works inside Wipro. Most of the day was on the SPIRIT OF WIPRO presentation, lots of videos on character building, fighting failure (types) & of course the final video from the man himself (Mr. Azim Premji) on what the core values mean to the organization. I really needed a break from all this; Thanks to a celebration at Hyderabad which made those two days roll with enjoyment. So, after the two day Hyderabad trip, I was back to my office for classes on CRP.
College to corporate transition workshop: understanding the real corporate culture & getting out of the college culture. Wonderfully executed with drama/skit performed by all the trainees in the hall (we presented corporate values using a FOOTBALL match).
Communication skills & Body language: do's & don’ts which really makes a difference. Duh!! It's kinda lame for all those who have been in other offices (like me ;-)...but I loved it).
Team innovation at its best...that's me (holding the sword) with my Gladiator team & check out my bikini (that's how ugly I can get), In the end we have Sania Mirza (Joe) with his team (ENLARGE to VIEW)
Team innovation/Team work skills: using kids like activities e.g. Paper clothes for a volunteer in the team, we exhibited our innovation & what all our rusted brains can do in 45mins...lolz
Name volleyball: How important is it to remember people’s name. After this activity, I kinda remember most of them by names (just kidding). I still stare at people's batches/ID's to get their names, It's a little difficult to stare at a girl's batch as they might mistake me with something else (you know what I mean..;-P..lolz)
Business & office etiquette: A role play/skit on good & bad etiquette. Again a team activity. It's just a matter of 2 pages, not a big deal. I personally felt that a play/skit on this is lame.
J.A.M (Just a minute): I don’t wanna tell you this but this is a tricky one (hint: read the first sentence in the sheet provided to you..;-)..FYI: 99% of us got tricked)
Blindfolding & tower building: again a team game which actually serves a purpose, you gotta be there to learn it.
Tangram: A jigsaw puzzle to build mathematical shapes using different blocks, look for a hint in the cover your are provided with (I got this one first, thank u thank u...;-)).
Dollars & Cents: the best game of IMPACT session, one boy equals 1 dollar & one girl equals 50 cents. Music is played, a random number is called e.g. 4 dollars 50 cents (we got to quickly get hold of 4 boys & a girl to form our group). Too much fun!!
Throw & Catch (Ball game): simple activity which actually has the so called learnings in it, I enjoyed the timeout in the amphitheatre hall/safety point. Played catch catch with two different dimensional balls...that’s it, nothing more to it.
Chart making: on customer satisfaction, corporate dressing sense, email writing & collage on IMPACT.Whatever it is, just know one thing...its the final day of all our fun times at the training hall. It’s going to be studies & assessments from now on (total techie stuff).
