Manglore Case Study
Now, that’s a very immoral thing which struck the pubs. For Indians, the pub culture is itself pretty much immoral but that’s subject to those from the 19th century not the present junta like us.
Each & every person has a different view on this. Of all the people you get the info from, one thing is clear that ‘whatever happened was wrong’. Not to get into what the Mangalore case is all about coz it’s all over the news channels & newspapers; here I am making a point on the after math of the case.
What’s untold but clearly understood?
1) It was for a cause- these events clearly project political influence in them, pertaining to the fact that elections are closing in, they have to have an “unusual advertising campaign” which projects their presence in the state & gives them immense popularity. So, I’d say it’s very nicely advertised in the name of Indian culture.
2) Following the Indian Culture- Oh good god! How can you even say pubs are contaminating our culture, when you go on hitting helpless people to drive them out of the pubs to make your point; does our culture have lessons on Overpowering & Threatening or something of that kind? I hope not!
Now, there were a lot of other things which made this news blow out of proportion but once and for all ‘This is not how you make your point’ & we are not dummies sitting here to take your punch, here the mafia rule applies “you hit me, we hit you back”.
PS: It really got an ‘ohhhh no’ expression when I read about one of the victims (a girl) demise due to suicide. She should not have done such a thing coz she’s the one who can take things to a different level.
PS: I really felt bad coz those pub goers were helpless. We have to have lots of security measures in such places from now on.
