Negotiating career needs

It was never like "I am new to the corporate" and Now with a blink of an eye, it’s almost 20 months to the different places I've worked a.k.a spent time. I remember back in college, I was up and ready to do any garbage work as long as the company is willing to load my pockets, now times have changed and there are a few more things to weigh before I can take the plunge, for instance: bonuses, profile, scope of work, authority, location & of course compensation matters a lot .

Sticking at one place/office is really essential, I know it!! I've had to leave a profile which I'd been waiting for around 6-7 months, not that I sacrificed anything but the decision was a tough one. BTW I have no regrets right now, may be later ;-)...way to go!

Still there is room for change and I am always on a look out. I attend interviews like its some weekend getaway. It’s pretty insensible for a person to keep looking out but not take up the opportunities that strikes, this reminds me of the Indian chick girl mentality "Love to dress, born single ;-), when a guy tries to make her feel special and give her some good time, they become content & try to keep distance" (looks like I’ve already been in such a situation, guess what!!..Nope, I am the guy who researches all products in the market before settling for anything… you get the drift… no offense to girl power, they rock!, I am just curious not cheap in any way...suffering from commitophobia)

Now coming to linkedin.com, it has done wonders to my thinking; all the connections/profiles in my network have put me to intense thinking about how they managed to get there. Some people don’t have as strong background as I do but their career track is really impressive, its all because these people are doing what they do best It’s very well said by my college dean/chairman Thiru. Jeppiar ;-P "Entry is not important, exit is important", some people come in and spend time working at places which might not be the best, but later, their plunge defines their true potential...it doesn’t matter what you start doing coz the juice lies in what you end up doing...wah wah!!

On the other hand, it’s just an online profile; virtual world is full of fake & illegitimate information. True to the core, god knows what percentage of truth lays in our CV's, but, its sure that there is a seed in us which we portrait as a fruit in our profiles. Nice marketing strategy!!

Its all about “whatever makes your happy”, we live to fulfill the single need of being satisfied/happy. But, life will be boring if everything is solved without any effort, so, get disturbed, be insensible and do what’s unpredictable, if that’s what makes you happy.

Cheers to the current career, unwanted comparisons & most of all, the dynamics of achieving goals. Bull’s eye!
