What about human evolution without technology

What used to take 12 years, still does?

The thing that *seriously* makes me laugh is that my grandfather, my father, and I took the same amount of time (12 years) to finish our schooling. My generation had so many more facilities that my grandparents did not have; clearly, my generation could have learnt things in a much easier way and much more quickly.

I really think, with iPad, Wikipedia  and Google, I am a pretty much a trans-human for my grandfather. I am so much more equipped, but even then, it doesn't help, does it?

Education to jobs, still confusing?

With what I have, what am I supposed to do? Our skill set is supposed to determine where we belong, but unfortunately, it's the degree we hold that makes for what we become (for the most part).

We talk of human evolution, but if you see, for the last 100 years, we have been talking about efficient education systems and in the name of efficiency, we have been doing nothing phenomenal. You know why? because technology in the filed of education is very nascent.

Brute force memorization is celebrated, it's trans-human?

If it's efficient to memorize, we must. Else, we must not. It's funny how we learn music lyrics so well but when it comes to learning science, we find it really difficult. We retain a few things really really well, but education doesn't happen to be one of them. That's why, brute force memorization is celebrated. As a matter of fact, if you can memorize all the course work, you are a trans-human to those who can't.

Our abilities are put to use, but the enhancement is just not worth it.

What's more appealing?

Trans-humans are very appealing. I see Discovery channel and I love the Man vs Wild show. It's a show wherein you get to see how the "equipped" man lives in wild life as "primitive" men used to live.

We are way enhanced as compared to our counterparts from 2000 years ago. Thanks to technology. Therefore, we are trans-humans for the primitive men, and seeing a trans-human live the primitive man's life is fascinating.

Just a thought...Humans function. Humans operate. Humans evolve. Humans improve. Humans manipulate. Humans die. If we could just figure out how to build a robot that can die, we have built our-self a human.

Compartmentalizing

Why can't humans study their entire life, why can't there be a curriculum for 50 years of one's life. If that's the case, one can develop from one person to another as they age.We talk about cross-functional talents, but how can one be cross-functional if he/she hasn't been learning cross-functional things in real-time.

We have lizard brain. We do:

What if we are wrong about trans-humanism?

To me, trans-humanism just seems like a religion. We became Catholics just 2000 years back, I believe the advent of religion in our society was very uplifting, and at the time, it was very much needed. Our thinking and our processing is a sheer force of our circumstances. We are what our circumstances make us do. Trans-humanism is worth a try and our circumstances are pushing us towards it. It's worth a try.

See you in the afterlife.

Finally! Dance evolved, humans started to drift differently every successive decade. The dance evolution is funny....just remove the (serious) philosophy from the human evolution, it will look funny.
