Engineering - THE END


Done with my engineering, Its one of the greatest moment of my life which went like any other normal day (not all that emotion or fun or sentiments), but as I c it, its the end of my ... 4 long years Chennai stay (hopefully; ref:wipro location) & to an extent my degree with the college providing it.

Actually, this project work was just a formality for my degree completion ; as heard & felt in the end. I have been free from the engineering hassles from the past one year i.e. from 7th semester but in the 7th semester , I had to write those long long theory papers, but that was just a matter of 15days or so, after that the last semester had some hiccups in the review time i.e. completion tension, but all that has been succumbed.


I M LOVING IT


My final Review:

Proposed time: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Time of my review: 2:00pm

Some Info with the review schedule:
  • My batch: C
  • Roll no: 24scs131 Reg no: 2411137
  • No due form: given to us in the last moment, which i felt was quite pissing, it took off all my toned look from my face & my clothes (due to sweat & rush) which i thought of presenting it to our guide while review. I got the sign somehow
  • Project work: successfully running in PC no: 51 Ground floor, this RED HAT version 4 was loaded by my friend Rajaratnam for his project work (thanks 2 him), but till the end my project dint run after loading it in the machine; so i had to mount my USB drive and run the program.

FINAL REVIEW:

External/Internal: Asst Prof. Mathivanan (sir)

Now i would jot down the whole review, I actually don't have the full content in my forgetful brain but still i would have managed to collect the highlighting aspect of the Review (interview ;-))

Sir: where have you loaded your PPT (powerpoint presentation) ( as he comes down to the lab for reviewing the candidates)

me: guided him to my PC (showed him my PPT)

sir: Whats your project all about?

me: sir it deals with TLS security where the part which needs to be in the limelight is "Session Resumption".....

sir: (interrupting my flow) I have not got your title, can you explain your title?

me: explained satisfactorily ( breaking the title into 4 different topics & turning to that particular page in the report & explaining )

sir: wait a minute!! i am still confused?? (took the mouse control and scrolled the whole PPT pages from the start to the end)

me: (damn pissed!! just coz, i dint get to explain each and every page i prepared in it) looking blank but confidently blank (;-))

sir: show your output?? execution??

me: turned to the PC aside and showed him the execution, also turned the result pages of my report for his convenience.

sir: you could have made your project presentation a little better??

me: sir i have concentrated on its working and the presentation is just for the demonstration purpose (a little tensed with his statement)

sir: oh k!!

me: ( was waiting for something like "good" or "nice" or "best of luck") ...sir was the project nice

sir: see paa after reviewing 20 projects from the morning, there is nothing like nice project

me: sir i mean, was the project w.r.t to its explanation satisfactory

sir: yes yes !! it was!!!

me: kinda confused at the same time really happy for what had happened in the review

So over all, i feel i have done great, i also peeked in my grade sheet (not intentionally but it just came to my sight), God knows its effect on my marks. But one thing is for sure, marks will be given on the basis of all the reviews (heheh).

  4. Final review- B++,B--,don't know

really happy for what has happened in the span of these four long years, the academic session would not be of much use but the things learned other than acads would stay with me for the rest of my life. Thanking everyone who had been with me for these 4 yrs....TC

PS: I also mentioned "anagram generation" to my guide, just coz he had been my guide in the mini-project...just to add some attention on my behalf.

PS: I heard that this is all just a formality, as the certificates have been prepared a week back...lets c what happens

PS: CONVOCATION would be on the second last or last week of April...that would be my last visit to Chennai.

UPDATE(on April 4th): I got 371 on 400 (92.8%)..;-)

TV Channels ;-(

ohh these bloody TV channels are so damn getting into my nerves that its content has made me to write an article on my blog। There is absolutely no dilution of the channel content for weeks 2 go, I have been watching TV just coz I have all the time in this world till I get my joining date ;-) but again there is nothing left for me 2 watch as they broadcast the same thing again and again. WHATS THERE 2 CHANGE MUSIC- plz stop darde disco, ankhon mei teri, mauja mauja & move your body baby etc etc, Put some tracks which may date back 2 the 70s but not these again and again. If not the old list, start with some new movie albums and some tracks from strings or junoon which are nowhere 2 be seen. TV shows- start new seasons of the shows like friends, sienfeld or the OC, the desperate housewives or else change the show itself but plz dont torture with the same season again and again. The only best part of the channels- THE EVER CHANGING ADVERTISING SECTOR WHICH COMES UP WITH EXTREMELY CR...

Wipro- Reporting day

Better late than never...a perfect beginning for my blog post. It's time to write about my unexpected event which certainly did come to reality today. I used to search google for a post like this in my final year/post placements/post engineering but I never found anything informative & straight to the point with regards to the reporting day ( not trying to boast, really!! )...So, I've put in a little effort to give you the exact picture of whats what on the reporting day!! Wipro Technologies did is for us, it was our reporting day today (27th April 2009). Our training starts on May 4th 2009 (one more week to go). Let me just rewind & play the whole day. Reporting at Wipro office , (Guindy) Chennai- reached half an hour before and the process started just as we reached i.e. at 8:00am (bang on time) Talent ready to transform Form filling - have everything calculated to enter in your form i.e. all the 10th,12th & semester wise percentages. The candidate you want to hire

If you are hiring, the best fit for you would be someone who can fit right-in without any kind of training. There are a lot of guys like that out in the market, but the challenge is that you need to find them, that explains why monster.com and naukri.com is such a big hit.
