BSNL Advertisement

The most pissing advertisement of all time. for pete's sake, don't the BSNL people know that its 21st century and people are shrewd enough to understand whats good and whats not. I can sense a threat of the diversifying mobile connectivity which would have provoked them to such a foolishly tactical advertisement.

SHAME on all the freaking master minds behind this, I would never go for a BSNL connectivity by looking at such an intellectually innocent ad, Please take an advise you BSNL people (especially HR dept), start recruiting some intelligent/descent marketing and advertisement staff coz your present employees absolutely suck @ it.

KESINENI Breakdown

So finally, it was 2 happen.
No more chennai, now thats a nostalgic situation but i say just "darn it". There are better times 2 roll ;-). Hope i dont have to see my college again for some silly reason but off course if it has an alumni meet then i would willfully go with a very proud feeling.

No matter what !! i would rate the chennai experience as the best of my life (so far) apart from insufficient luxury; still it had so much 2 give that i feel blessed to have earned it.

NEVER NEVER 2 travel by BUS- be it any travels (i'd keep it as my last option)

I boarded my bike @ OMER travels & came by KESINENI TRAVELS (a volvo bus). I must say one thing, these people have no sense of business coz the customer always goes unsatisfied. We started from chennai @ 9:00pm and tentative time 2 reach hyd was 9:00am i.e. 12hrs but due to the bus breakdown we came only at 1:30pm (4hr30mins late).

PS: All you people out there, take my advice- do not travel by buses coz firstly its risky as its accident prone & secondly they dont provide good service for the money they take. I have had worst experiences in DHANUNJAY & KESINENI TRAVELS.

Quick Fix for a Child

Note: its a tyro annalist's (thats me;-)) view, may be junk but kinda true coz I myself have been an utterly miserable kid through out my schooling.

There is as such no quick fix for a kid, what ever happens has to be consequential coz its like a maze where in a child needs to enter a particular door periodically to reach the destination within the time limit. Mind it, I have referenced a maze with the kid's performance just coz sometimes the kid may enter a wrong door but some how make it to the point by luck or may be a miracle.

I m not some psychologist to give sensible examples ;-), so plz don't expect such things from this excerpt but this post was a shear arousal of my cousins behavior towards every god damn thing/person which made me think of him/her as an exact byproduct of improper parenting/counseling, now it does not have anything to do with me but if rewinding 5yrs then i am also eligible for this category coz I was the same person as my cousins 5yrs back (what I yam trying 2 say is that, there is a high probability that he/she may change as they age but it isn't certain whether they would take the right path).

I can proudly boast of me having good knowledge of ethics & etiquettes @ this point in my life which I have been accruing from the past 4yrs and the process is still 'on'. Now this post doesn't involve me (so leave it!!), what really takes me aback is:
1. Why cant a kid be poured with this ethical content right from the childhood?
2. Why is he/she preferred to be innocent when there are so many good things which can be easily "INFLICTED" by the so called smart parents?

I really find it silly when parents stress on results, they are actually the end point and thats what really matters !!! ohhhhhhhh k but its not the kids prep which is the soul parameter for telling us how he would fair in it , its also his/her habits which could propel them to a better position or derail them to a much worser position.

NO MATTER WHAT!!! I AIN'T Blaming Parents

They (parents) are responsible for the kids upbringing, but the kid is responsible for his/her own habit upheaval so no harm to any of u Mom Dad's who are reading this ;-). One thing is sure, its a mutual effort which makes or breaks a kids personality traits.
Kids personality reflectors (as i c it):

  1. English speaking skills- forget about vernacular skills
  2. Communicating skills- involves sensible questioning & answering
  3. friends circle- with his/her involvement in it
  4. Actions in the case of adversity & when given power
  5. others views over his/her behavior
  6. RESULTS- academics, curricular & character certificate from known people (UTMOST)
etc etc etc....

There are so many people with almost everything in favor but are not respected coz they lack the character which is really the key to everything. A man without character is worthless coz thats the biggest asset which he can posses.

PS: Try to tune your brain to a particular paradigm, thats the first thing to every success coz it always happens that you posses all the qualities but there is a requirement of a paradigm shift which enables you to think and act in certain ways.
PS: I am also fighting to attain the best character possible, so the fight is ON...ciao
PS: BTW those cousins to whom the post is dedicated are my all time favorites Manoj(17yrs) & Manisha(13yrs)......hope success pours in their lives (unlike me)

GRADUATION DAY

CONVOCATION '08

Finally the monkey has made it, thats what everyone would be thinking of me. How on earth did i clear engineering so effortlessly without falling into the set pitfalls. I am so bloody proud of myself that I am really out of words 2 express it. Any how, today was my convocation and officially I have been kicked out of the SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY ;-) , my very own alma matter from now on.

From now on its gonna be MR. GIRISH MAHADEVAN, B.E [;-)]

It was really a touching moment for all of us but as usual it looked like any other day @ the college, got up early in the morning thinking that Its the last day so its worth grooming myself for this occasion which would take time (it really took almost 30mins to dress up), then on my bike i drove exactly 30kms (by count) to my college and parked and went to my department (by that time all the grooming had faded off ;-)).

FIRST CLASS WITH DISTINCTION...now thats something which overpowers all my past failures

There I went upstairs where I was called by PRAVIN sir, as i went and asked, I was told to be in the Lab coz the TOPPERS (First '10' (yes!! i really was one of them, 4th in the class & 7th in the department)) of the DEPARTMENT were called for some purpose from our placement cell. Then one sir took us to first year block and we were asked to fill a form...Guess what!!!!!! it was a feedback form where we were to grade our college administration & staff & other amenities.

Then we went to the auditorium where all the dignitaries were to come and give respective speeches, we were ready for a sweaty afternoon coz it was so damn hot inside the hall that it was very certain for us to shed a few calories ;-). I seriously don't remember who all came for the convocation but it was really boring by god!!!!! Receiving an Award from our Chancellor DR.Jeppiar @ ACHIEVER'S DAY

Convocation ended and all the students were to collect their degree certificate i.e. the file from the department staff (truly speaking, I was a little disappointed coz I wanted my degree from some dignitary not the dept staff), but was to cool down coz they cant possibly give degree certificates to those 2000 attendees (so,fair enough;-)). Then the convocation finished and we headed for our special, last n final lunch...it was chicken 65,chicken biriyani & raita, fruit ice cream, rose milk, laddoo & bottled Jeppiar water in the menu. I really loved the lunch there and was satisfied with everything @ that moment.

Then I returned my convocation dress and got back the deposit of Rs 200/-. Then came home in my bike for those 30kms and retired for some time in the bed.

A GRADUATE
AN ENGINEER
PLACED @ WIPRO

FIRST CLASS WITH DISTINCTION
87.2 % OVERALL
I am what I WANTED 2 be

what else do I need??????????...thats it for now, loved the 4yrs of engineering which is worth a zillion (thanks 2 everyone who had been a part of my life so far, would do something out of the box to keep my name & the so called reputation)

PS: i have written everything inside, no PS this time ;-)

MY FIRST TATTOO

I got a tattoo from some arbitrary fellow in Hyderabad Central, It has been very strategically placed in my body ;-D. Its not a permanent tattoo, so no issues if at all it doesn't look good 2 u.

Now thats noticeable & cryptic @ the same time

PS: Thats where its well noticed, I have given it a curve to slightly have its glimpse on the front portion of my neck.
PS: My French beardo has been successfully turning a lot of faces in public (sigh), But the reason for this attention may be coz its bringing out the sexy 'me' out to the people or its simply symbolizing the ugly 'me'.
PS: its just Rs 50/-, he took a sticker and through the vents he sprayed red/black color . (now thats cheap)

I yam 21 ;-)

It had 2 come some or the other day;so it isn't all that special, BTW I have finished my engineering and now its time for me to join an office (so, its good that I am earning from this age). Forget about what is done and what had happened, let me just focus on what is to happen!!!

I have been chill through out my life (so far) and would love to continue the same way but things may not be as easy as they were from now on, Not that I have a zillion responsibilities, its just that i have aged to a certain extent and have to start behaving matured (which I haven't been). I just wanna make sure that from now on I don't want to repent for anything, thats a tough thing 2 achieve practically but with a little determination I can overcome at least most of it and make sure I have very less of it 2 face.

WHAT I DID 2Day
  • Afternoon- RAJDHANI RESTAURANT, there we had good rajasthani thali. Everyone was full after the lunch. Then i drove home and rested for a while.
  • Evening- Chandvani Uncle & Aunty came home along with Cheeku, then we headed to Parmesh Bhaiyas place where we had fruits & पकोडा then we went out for a drive with cheeku for a cup of tea.
  • Night- had our dinner @ CHELLAMS RESTAURANT, its total south Indian cuisine, Had masala dosa and then again I drove back home ;-).
Dressed up to the 9's
I don't have a oscar speech to present, as in "i'd like to thank my mother & father ...blah blah blah";-D, I am not that sentimental (do hell with it;-)).

PS: gotta chill now, its just my bday
PS: I don't like birthdays just coz, I feel that if a person manages to be alive for 365days he/she gets to celebrate it, now thats utter nonsense coz thats no reason for a celebration ( logically).

Hyderabad City Tour

HYDERABAD DARSHAN

AP Tourism is fab!! Actually I have not had any tourist activities which I can clearly remember but this was really informative & comfortable, BTW "DARSHAN" does not literally qualify for temples or likewise; its the hyderabad's most unique & sort after places to be visited .

We had booked the tickets with AP tourism board and were alloted a bus with a guide (conventional way). Got up @ 6:30am and then dressed and headed for YATRI NIVAS where we had to board our bus for the visit (dad dropped us (me & manoj) there).

8:00am : we boarded the bus and headed for another stop to pic up the rest of the tourists.
9:00am : Reached "BIRLA MANDIR", had to go on a upslope where the temple was built, it was totally made of white marble from rajasthan and was relatively a big area but very few idols i.e only around 5 to 6 were present and most important of all was BALAJI which was absolutely humongous to normal idol sizes. On the way back to our bus point (we had been given 9:20am as our meeting time) i.e. Reserve Bank of India office; we had गन्ने का जूस. On the way, we saw Charminar, Masjid from the bus (dint get down).
9:45am : We reached SALAR JUNG Museum, I had already seen it, so I was not all that excited as the other tourists. He took us inside ...we heard the clock's alarm (state of the art clock), then we went to see around 15 rooms out of the 150 odds rooms present. Came back to the bus point, had ice cream and a snap ;-).
10:50am : NIZAM Museum was our stop, got down crossed the road and went inside a school premises, the school as well as the Museum was build on some old architects plan (was nice), this experience was not all that good but I just likes one thing i.e. the OSMANIA UNVERSITY architecture, it model was present in his collection.
12:30pm : Reached NEHRO ZOOLOGICAL PARK and went for a Safari ride, saw some 3 tigers and 2 Lions but the problem was that they all were sleeping (dint get good snaps), also a भालू came to our safari van ;-). This was not that cost effective but manageable.
1:30 pm: After having a fruit meal outside zoo, we were informed of the bus heading to a restaurant. Still we made nullified the cost for the meal i.e. Rs 60/plate (especially the tomato dal was very good). It was a very green place and damn spacious, without a doubt it was an army premise coz it was really clean and secured.
2:45pm : we finally reached the GOLCONDA FORT and was really impressed with almost everything about the architecture and its history (its really a MUST see place), started with the curtain wall and then finally went all the way to the forts top most point, there we took some of the most memorable snaps.

The Picture on the right is a DIAMOND type architecture which personifies acoustics and the sounds can easily reach 450ft high to some other spot, it was used for internal communication purpose.
The picture on left give a panoramic view of the Golconda fort. It does not cover the whole of it but encapsulates most of it. The whole fort has been perfectly engineered which is quite boggling to me just coz its built in 18th century and it took almost 8 months for construction (now thats fast ;-)).

Half way to the Top Most point of the fort

PS: The trip was very informative and I feel Hyderabad is a place filled with quite a lot of history
PS: NIZAMS have lived the most lavish life of all, they had utmost comfort and immense power to overpower any damn force.
PS: Total visit took exactly 12hrs i.e 7am to 7pm

1st in the class-BULL FACTOR

After a long long time, i have something in my mind which is really boggling. Whats with "मेरा बच्चा class में 1st आता है". Now that type of phrases are used universally but most prominent in the very own country (INDIA). Now a days its a taboo to be any lesser than the top 5 students in the class i.e some how all the 60 students of the class should come within the first 5 ranks..Now thats virtually impossible, if at all; all the students have equal scores.

Why are parents/people so obsessed with their kid being in the top 5 of the class, why cant he/she be average, The way i would put is : people want their kid to overpower other kids i.e superiority complex is inflicted in the early age itself (thats what i feel). Whats wrong in people/students having grades or just the two parameters PASS & FAIL. The previous statement is quite helpless just because of the insanely driven competitive spirit inside every one of us (ref: the superiority aspect) but this is how people would be admitted to different areas/institutes of priority. Nothing wrong in sorting out the students with their marks but don't rank them on academics basis , give a unanimous call over a candidates presence and his/her overall performance. As we do not have equal scope for every field all want to jump into the field with the least conflict i.e which some how places us in safe grounds.

PURPOSE of the POST
  • So what if your kid is 1st in the class- there is no way he/she did it all because of him/her self or because of his/her intellect, he/she has been properly guided and severely attended to come to this state ( so its all because of the extrinsically governed factors and not the individual effort )
  • Coming 1st in the class has no unthinkably special attributes- he/she gets promoted the same way as i get, just the difference lies in the felicitation and other popularity integrated features with the topper unlike me...what the heck!!!, i don't want such felicitation
  • Which SUCCESSFUL person had been 1st in the class- not thats the bottom line!!!!!, there are virtually no universally acclaimed people who were toppers during their times, so probably you (topper) would lie in the same old middle/upper class category but at least i have a chance of being the most successful person on earth and if not that, i have fair chances of catching up with you sooner or later.
I can place some other 100 wage facts which would place the "1st in the class" person in shear pain. Let me clarify one thing from the above: "I have no grudge over people who are the TOPPERS of their class or peer group", its just the way candidates are exposed to superiority complex from the beginning of their academics; really really drives me crazy.

PS: No solution to it as its not some problem, likewise there is nothing possibly done to constrain institutes over this TOPPERS demarcation. SO BE IT...
PS: I am least affected, coz i have experienced both the extremes i.e a just pass candidates and also the so called TOPPER have been experienced by me. ;-D
PS: I have a very caustic feeling that when someone comes and says it to my parents they would probably be having thoughts like " काश मेरा बेटा ऐसा होता" or "When will I get to say such things about my kid"......;-(

Online Business

A very provoking field coz there are so many people involved. There are almost a zillion ways to make money on the internet or to promote the sprouted business (ref: the ebook being circulated with ways 2 do it). I am very much influenced by this type of business coz it requires a diversifying knowledge and appropriate mindset to scrape through people and make money from their internet browsing and some how get our account filled ( i have no idea of what i just typed ;-D).

I am just a freshie (ref: Online business) , I have a lot of things 2 learn and a lot many plans of action 2 exactly figure out what I really wanna put up over the widely used internet and what would fetch me maximum exposure with proportionate fund generation ( most certainly).

WHY CANT I START STRAIGHT AWAY
  1. My mom refuses 2 give her Credit card details as she fears the fraud crowd in this field.
  2. I have no credit card of my own to lay my hands on internet accounts i.e. PAYPAL etc.
  3. I have 2 accumulate a lot of info on DO's & DONT's
  4. Don't have any content, which is unique and traffic generating.
Overall, I am really helpless and there is no way i can step into online business so early in my life. Probably after 5 or 6 months I would come up with something really unique.

PS: Hope i get some good idea.
PS: Kudos 2 my thinking
PS: making money on the internet should be a side business, not full time.;-D at least till it gets totally established.

Entrance Exams- WTF factor

Finally, some food for thought... Entrance exam are really the key to the premier institutes i.e be it CAT/GMAT or JEE or AIEEE blah blah blah, all are insanely competitive but thats not the point which has made me write this post, its the candidates who really suffer because of these entrance exams (sigh!!) is the limelight of the post.

POINT 2 B NOTED

Candidates who write these entrance exams should be aware of what is in store for them, I would place this as the stepping stone to any competitive exam prep coz most of us i.e. almost 80% of the people who I know fall into the "abrupt information holder" category. The best way to fight this is to glean as much as possible from the present suffering batch of the college/university ( they have the exact perception)... listening to the alumni or the staff of the institute or any other person who is remotely associated with it is a perfect ingredient for a later disappointment.

Many of the candidates fear the populous crowd who are appearing for the exam and evaluate that with the toughness or competitiveness of the junta appearing for the exam... This is an absolute rotten shit analysis, never fear the crowd coz most of them appear because of parental pressure and some write for the sake of appearing for it...These type of candidates are majority in numbers, so it would be wrong to include such students in competition. A candidate must not fear the junta appearing for the exam coz most amongst the junta is highly noncompetitive.

There may be indefinite reasons to detest the above two points but what the heck!!!....there is no point is fussing with what is experienced by most of the candidates.

Summing up, what really the entrance exams competitiveness is mistaken with:
  1. Candidates under "parental pressure"
  2. Candidates not willing 2 write, they write just bcoz everyone else is writing (like me ;-))
  3. Candidates who have absolutely "NO" preparation
  4. Capable candidates appearing half-heartedly
many more points 2 follow, they are not exactly coming to my mind right now...

P.S: I was highly uncompetitive in my 12th grade, appeared for entrance just because everyone else was appearing, had no idea of what to do after 12th... so if at all I wrote those exams, I was not at all a threat to others truly appearing for it.

P.S: These entrance exams require a pinch of LUCK....without it there is nothing which could work on our favor........but thats not something which comes in handy but would follow if its meant to be.
