CAT 2007 Washed away

Man!!!! today is such a sad day..

I have (actually everyone) been denied of the Eligibility certificate for writing CAT-07
Its not that i am not eligible or something , its just the fucking management in my college which is governed by people who are not aware of certain basic things. Actually they are not 2 b blamed, its just that the administrative people in our college do not know how to govern the candidates.

I must state that our college does not have any knowledge of how things are to be done, we have a good department staff ( not all but most of them ), they are not in a postion 2 help as the power lies in the people who have no idea of how things r 2 b done and how their decisions effect our life. They have a same view for each and every student of our college i.e all are job oriented and everyone here is looking for a job, But this isn't the scenario with all the students, there are people like me who have taken up jobs as backup and are more inclined 2 do an MBA/MS/M-TECH.

Oh k..no use of discussing about our college being bad coz when i entered the college i had known about it and its not that i took this college by choice, this college was the last hope for me to do an engineering and i had 2 get it(UNIVERSAL FACT).

SO......BY THIS DISCUSSION I REALIZE THAT ITS MY FAULT

Some mistakes in life do not effect the present but does hinder the future.( point 2 b noted)

DEATHLY HALLOWS:

  1. Always study hard
  2. Never be on the lower side of what ever u do
  3. Do things on time or b4 time
  4. Some times happiness in the present may be infected with some harm in the future.
  5. Last but the best is that, BE OPTIMISTIC.

I CREATE MY OWN DESTINY, LUCK IS JUST AN ILLUSION...These lines would stay in my mind forever after i m a free bird (a graduate).

Never Mind....(NIRVANA -;-))...Is really well said as their may b a better job waiting after i appear for CAT in 08. Everything falls in line nothing is bad coz i have many instances in my life which makes me feel sad in the beginning but eventually makes me happy .

Hyderabad Returns

Yups...Its been loooooooooooooong me posting on my blog.

Actually in my previous post i had mentioned about my COLLEGE LIFE coming to an end. So now its just holidays for us. I have two semesters ahead of me; one which would be full of theory and the last semester is meant for doing a project.

Actually life is Peace..[;-)]..But i m not loosing my hopes 2 get good results in CAT. Have appeared for my AIM CAT's ...All the results were damn pathetic..But still, out of all the tests in one of the tests i was able to clear the cut off...;-)..I have 2 fight a lot for this EXAM unlike my engineering exams...[;)].
I think i have posted this thread inferring my HYD visit....So leave this CAT fight..

A WEEK LONG:

I started on Saturday night in a VOLVO bus(Dhanunjay) @ around 8pm then reached Amirpet(hyd) @ around 7am. Bus was fun but the movie which they put in the bus was telgu (dint understand a single word but somehow managed as it was total PHYETING(fighting)...then slept for some few hours and then my MOM came 2 pick me up @ amirpet and then we went home.

HOME SWEET HOME: its an amazing place. Srinagar Colony is 2 good( in the sense its really located in 3rd road banjara hills and has pretty descent crowd and everything is nearby(hang outs) ). Its a big house but has no use bcoz its just mom and dad who merely use the house totally...It would have been good if the whole family was there(me, my bro, mom, dad, tatha)

Activities:

  1. Gym"ing"
  2. Visiting a Temple
  3. Going 2 PVR for a movie ( PARTNER- govinda and salman khan)
  4. Studying a Bit ( CAT )
  5. Meeting one of my friend from Mumbai after 4yrs ( Prateek )
  6. Playing Pool (wining all the matches)
  7. Visiting Hi-Tech city( saw all the IT parks..also ISB(Indian School of Business, dint go inside;-O))
  8. Visited Secret Lake( its some kinda party hang outs..not all that good )
  9. HYDERABADI BIRYANI( its was good..i went 2 "Hyderabad House")
Thats about it...truly speaking, i dint do anything....Coz there was nothing much 2 do..Hope 2 make it 2 HYD for about a month long and then write a post with some content..;-(...k then bye 4 now..

Last but not the least.....Only in America

GIRISH- what it mean???

Meaning of my name..

You entered: girish

There are 6 letters in your name.
Those 6 letters total to 43
There are 2 vowels and 4 consonants in your name.

What your first name means:

HindiMaleLord of the mountains.
This is a name of the Hindu god Shiva, given because of his abode in the Himalayan Mountains.

Your number is: 7

The characteristics of #7 are: Analysis, understanding, knowledge, awareness, studious, meditating.

The expression or destiny for #7:
Thought, analysis, introspection, and seclusiveness are all characteristics of the expression number 7. The hallmark of the number 7 is a good mind, and especially good at searching out and finding the truth. You are so very capable of analyzing, judging and discriminating, that very little ever escapes your observation and deep understanding. You are the type of person that can really get involved in a search for wisdom or hidden truths, often becoming an authority on whatever it is your are focusing on. This can easily be of a technical or scientific nature, or it may be religious or occult, it matters very little, you pursue knowledge with the same sort of vigor. You can make a very fine teacher, or because of a natural inclination toward the spiritual, you may become deeply emerged in religious affairs or even psychic explorations. You tend to operate on a rather different wavelength, and many of your friends may not really know you very well. The positive aspects of the 7 expression are that you can be a true perfectionist in a very positive sense of the word. You are very logical, and usually employ a quite rational approach to most things you do. You can be so rational at times that you almost seem to lack emotion, and when you are faced with an emotional situation, you may have a bit of a problem coping with it. You have excellent capabilities to study and learn really deep and difficult subjects, and to search for hidden fundamentals. At full maturity you are likely to be a very peaceful and poised individual.

If there is an over supply of the number 7 in your makeup, the negative aspects of the number may be apparent. The chief negative of 7 relates to the limited degree of trust that you may have in people. A tendency to be highly introverted can make you a bit on the self-centered side, certainly very much self-contained . Because of this, you are not very adaptable, and you may tend to be overly critical and intolerant. You really like to work alone, at your own pace and in your own way. You neither show or understand emotions very well.

Your Soul Urge number is: 9

A Soul Urge number of 9 means:
With a 9 Soul Urge, you want to give to others, usually in a humanitarian or philanthropic manner. You are highly motivated to give friendship, affection and love. And you are generous in giving of your knowledge and experience. You have very sharing urges, and you are likely to have a great deal to share. Your concern for others makes you a very sympathetic and generous person with a sensitive and compassionate nature.

You are able to view life in very broad and intuitive terms. You often express high ideals and an inspirational approach to life. If you are able to fully realize the potential of your motivation, you will be a very self-sacrificing person who is able to give freely without being concerned about any return or reward.

As with all human beings, you are prone to sometimes express the negative attitudes inherent to your Soul Urges. You may become too sensitive and tend to express emotions strongly at times. There can be significant conflict between higher aims and personal ambitions. You may resent the idea of giving all of the time and, in fact, if there is too much 9 energy in your nature you may reject the idea. You may often be disappointed in the lack of perfection in yourself and others.

Your Inner Dream number is: 7

An Inner Dream number of 7 means:
You dream of having the opportunity to read, study, and shut yourself off from worldly distractions. You can see yourself as a teacher, mystic, or ecclesiastic, spending your life in the pursuit of knowledge and learning.

GOD knows....but still i like 7 (from now on..;-))..actually i lik"ed" 5 b4 a few seconds....i m that damn good.....ohhh leave it...its just a name.....

Federer WON again!

Just minutes ago there was a record broken and also thousands of hearts after NADAL lost to FEDERER in the wimbeldon finals...Acutually i am a lot sad for NADAL but also a lot happy 4 FEDERER(being verbose i mean its a nostalgic situation).....What a mind blowing match....it was no ones game...this is all a matter of luck(who wins and looses).....NADAL has a long way 2 go....so not a problem for him but FEDERER just broke BJORN BORG'S record....which is a biggest achievement...

NEWS 2 USE:-

The top-ranked Swiss player was pushed to limit in a Grand Slam final for the first time, but he held on to win 7-6 (7), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-2 for his 11th major title.

Federer is the first man to win five straight titles at the All England Club since Bjorn Borg did it from 1976-80. The Swede watched the match from the Royal Box with other past champions, and applauded as Federer fell to ground after an overhead smash on match point.

Federer also stretched his grass-court winning streak to 53 and his Wimbledon winning streak to 34. He is now tied for third on the career list with 11 major titles. Borg and Rod Laver also have 11, trailing Pete Sampras' 14 and Roy Emerson's 12.

Federer finished the match with 24 aces, 65 winners and 34 unforced errors. Nadal had 50 winners and 24 unforced errors.

Nadal also used the "Hawk-Eye" replay technology, which is making its debut at Wimbledon, to great effect throughout the match. One time, a call reversal in the fourth set infuriated Federer so much that he complained to the chair umpire after being broken for the fourth time.

"It's killing me today," Federer said after sitting down during the changeover.

7 essentials to be a great leader

Can leadership be taught? The answer is simple. Yes, leadership, like all skills, can be taught. The literature is clear on the essential components, styles, and dynamics. Educational materials and programs abound.

But can leadership be learned? The answer to that question isn't obvious. It seems that leadership, one of the scarcest and least enduring components of human capital, is not learned easily or well.

First things first. What is leadership anyway? According to Al Gini, a lecturer at Loyola University in Chicago, leadership is a "power- and value-laden relationship between leaders and followers who intend real changes that reflect their mutual purposes and goals." In plainer language, leadership is the dynamic that galvanizes individuals into groups to make things different or to make things better -- for themselves, for their enterprise, for the world around them.

The "Great Man Theory" of human history focused our attention solely on the ideas espoused, the actions taken, and the outcomes generated by people in positions of power. Today, ideas and assessments of leadership are more democratic.

Leadership itself is a collaborative function; the leader and the led are seen as in a potentially symbiotic and synergistic relationship. And power and impact are a function of that relationship rather than of a position.

Much of leadership education is devoted to teaching style and technique. Much of what is taught is, in fact, not leadership at all but management. It is entirely possible to learn and even to put into practice what is taught and still fail at being a good leader. The essential components of leadership have remained more or less constant: intelligence, insight, instinct, vision, communication, discipline, courage, constancy.

All can be studied and studied again. The ability to ace leadership principles and practices does not, however, mean that leadership has been learned. Because what is being taught does not necessarily help leadership candidates learn the essentials. Knowing is one thing; doing is quite another.

Leadership 101 should focus on helping people develop the human qualities and capacities required for leading in virtually any endeavor. Here's the course load I recommend:

1. Thinking: Leaders must know how to gather, sort, and structure information, and then connect it in new ways to create intelligence. Today, being informed is confused with being smart.

2. Seeing: Leadership requires vision. And developing a vision requires the ability to see. To look backward and see clearly what has happened. To see what's in front of your nose, the present tense. To see ahead to the next day when the challenges will be greater. To see the future that will become reality.

3. Feeling: Yes, empathy for the led is vital. As Michael Hammer, coauthor of Reengineering the Corporation: A Manifesto for Business Revolution, says, "All change is loss. Even when change is for the better, there is still loss." Leadership is not simply a form of therapy, however. The essential feeling is the one in your gut where morality and certainty live. The right way ahead is not in the data. It is an informed intuitiveness. This is where charisma comes from.

4. Listening: All can hear. But few really listen. And too many people only listen to themselves. How to listen to colleagues and collaborators, how to listen to markets and constituencies, and how to listen to yourself -- all through the endless din of the present, the ominous voices of the past, and the deafening silence portending the future -- is vital.

5. Speaking: The watershed capacity in leadership is unquestionably communication. Through it, people are informed, convinced, united, motivated, and directed -- things that are critical to group enterprise from the inside and to buy-in on the outside. The powers to inform and persuade win the battles for hearts and minds.

6. Walking: The art and science of putting one foot in front of the other, sometimes referred to as "waking the talk," is the "doing" part of leading. Credibility comes from being first through the door to the unknown. Standing in one place, or stepping back while others take risks to make the frontier safe for others, simply doesn't cut it. Moving forward is not a leap or a sprint but a plodding process.

7. Fitness: Leadership requires strength and endurance in all areas -- physical, mental, and moral. Because leadership is a heavy load. Because it is a long journey that drains resources.

Is there a leadership school -- a "leadership boot camp" -- that teaches this stuff? I'm not sure. But to learn much of it, I would suggest a liberal-arts education supplemented with lots of real-world experience and with doing almost anything to make change

Change for the better is appealing; the work of creating it, however, is certainly fraught with social, emotional, economic, and other dangers. In the final analysis, the vast majority would rather study the life of leaders in class than learn the lessons of leadership in the world. Which is why leadership is often taught but so rarely learned.

ALL IN THE PICTURE........just a summary of it.....
